A dad has been left furious following claims he was 'refused' a refund for two Newcastle United strips he bought for his son's 16th birthday despite them arriving more than a month after he ordered them.
Ian Lumley says he's been left £120 out of pocket after the NUFC Store failed to give him his money back for the two tops he purchased online on July 12. The dad-of-two had ordered the home and away strips for his son Josh Lumley's milestone birthday but not only did they not turn up on time for the occasion, but they also didn't arrive until five and a half weeks later.
The 57-year-old from Nottinghamshire had already spent £170 on three shirts from the store but said he was left with no other option but to order another two from Sports Direct to ensure they arrived in time. However, when he went to request a refund from the NUFC Store he was told that it was too late to do so.

"I ordered three shirts but it was nearly five and a half weeks later when they did arrive," Ian said.
"I bought two for a birthday present for my son so I had to buy them again from a different outlet to make sure they arrived in time. I kept one because it was Father's Day present, but the other two needed to go back.
"The online portal said that it was outside of the time frame for the order [to be returned] but they came ridiculously late so I couldn't use the online portal to send them back."
Ian has tried to contact the store multiple times to request a refund, sending four emails without any reply and even ringing Newcastle United directly, but without any success.
"I am £120 down," Ian continued. "It is not the most money in the world but I would rather have the money in my pocket. I just want the money back.
Chronicle Live has contacted Newcastle United and kit provider Castore for comment but did not receive responses.
