Cyclist who died after being hit by bus near Hinkley Point named

Police have named the cyclist who died in a collision near Hinkley Point as John Page.

The collision happened at Robbery Wood near Stockland Bristol in Bridgwater on January 20.

Avon and Somerset Police has now confirmed the name of the cyclist as John Page.

Mr Page was treated at the scene of the crash but sadly died, Somerset Live reports.

The full police statement says: "The cyclist who died following a collision in Bridgwater last week has been named.

"John Page died after he was in collision with a bus at Robbery Wood near Stockland Bristol, at about 5.40pm on 20 January.

"Mr Page was given treatment at the scene but sadly died shortly afterwards.

"Police enquiries into the collision are continuing.

"Anyone who has information, who has not yet spoken to us, is asked to call, quoting reference 52200215515."

The collision spot was not far from Hinkley Point, and motorists were stuck for as long as three hours following the collision.
