The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday evening announced the postponement of the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 examinations scheduled for May 28.
The decision has been taken after the change in the date of Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid). As per the official notice, both shifts of the examination scheduled for May 28 have been deferred.
Government communication triggers rescheduling
According to the NTA, the postponement follows a government communication regarding the revised date of the public holiday for Eid-ul-Zuha.
The agency stated that candidates scheduled to appear on May 28 will now have to wait for revised examination dates, which will be announced separately.
