Cruel 'bullies' share footage of them attacking school girl on Snapchat

Shocking footage of a girl being 'punched in the face' by 'bullies' is being shared on social media. The victim's dad says he feels sick to the stomach to know the assault is now being watched by people on Snapchat.

Police and the school are now investigating the incident. The children involved are pupils at at a school in Gloucester, reports Gloucestershire Live.

It has been reported that the group asked the girl to enter into a fight at lunchtime while at school, but she reportedly walked away and alerted the teacher to the issue.

Dad David Organ, 43, said: “I know children are not always angels but they were trying to get my daughter to fight at dinner time. She walked away as I have always brought my children up to walk away if you can.

“I have lost count of the amount of times I have been into the school about my daughter being bullied. I have been recovering from having a cancerous brain tumour removed and been having chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but even then when I was really ill, I was having to go into the school because of the bullying.”

Mr Organ was sent the video of his daughter being punched late on Tuesday night. He said he could not believe the incident had been recorded and shared on social media.

He said: “It happened at the top of Bibury Road. My wife was picking up our little one from nursery and my daughter was on her way to see her. The video is going around on social media. It made me feel sick to my stomach when I saw it and I am fed up to the back teeth with what is happening.

"Things need to change with the types of punishments being handed out. Putting kids in isolation does not work when they are doing this. In my day if you had a problem with someone you dealt with it and it would be over and done with. They have not left her alone and filmed it.

“My daughter had a bruise on her face and we are keeping the video as evidence. It was posted on Snapchat and they should have the powers to block these videos being shared. My daughter tried to walk away. If I had been well I would have gone to see the parents to see what all this was about.

“I went to the school the next day to discuss the incident but the headteacher was not there to talk. We were advised to report it to the police as it did not happen on the school grounds."

Gloucester Academy is governed by The Greenshaw Trust. They are aware of the incident and say they expect high standards of behaviour from their pupils.

Chief Executive Officer of the Greenshaw Learning Trust Will Smith said: "Gloucester Academy expects the highest standards of behaviour from all students. If students fail to meet these expectations, our leaders work with families and use the appropriate school policies to decide any actions."

An incident has been logged and raised with police. Now police are looking to investigate the incident.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: "Gloucestershire Constabulary was made aware of an assault which involved school students in Gloucester on Tuesday afternoon (10 May).

“We take all allegations of assault seriously. Anyone with information which could assist the investigation is asked to contact police through the website, quoting incident 89 of 11 May.”
