Crucial Leeds Rhinos fixture switched to Wednesday as latest Super League TV fixtures confirmed

Leeds Rhinos' huge Super League clash with West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Giants has been switched to a Wednesday night in order to be televised live on Sky Sports. The latest broadcast picks for Round 25 of the season include three live matches in as many days, starting with Leeds' hosting of the Giants on Wednesday 24 August at 8pm.

With all Super League clubs playing the following Monday, the entire competition will play on either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday in the round beforehand, and Sky Sports will show three games from the round. It means the West Yorkshire derby, which could be huge for Rohan Smith's side's chances of making the play-offs, will be televised in a rare Wednesday night slot.

The following night there is an all-French affair between Toulouse and Catalans live on Sky Sports. That will kick off at 7:30pm UK time - as will Wakefield Trinity's match with Hull Kingston Rovers, after Trinity agreed to bring their kick-off time forward by 15 minutes so both games at the centre of the relegation battle can start at the same time.

Those two games are part of four on the Thursday night, with Daryl Powell's Warrington hosting former club Castleford Tigers and Salford Red Devils facing Hull FC in another match that could have huge implications on the race for the top six.

Friday night’s live action sees a top of the table clash as fierce rivals Wigan Warriors and St Helens go head-to-head at the DW Stadium. That will kick off at 8pm.
