Crowes Nest Enniskillen latest to announce closure due to Covid-19

A Co Fermanagh bar and restaurant will close its doors from Tuesday until further notice, owners have announced.

The Crowes Nest in Enniskillen, which is one of the town's oldest Irish bars, made the announcement on their Facebook page today.

Fergal Shannon, general manager at Crowes Nest, said it was due to a number of staff being required to self-isolate.

He added: "Our management team would like to inform our customers that due to short staffing levels as a result of a number of staff being required to self isolate, we have made the decision to close the Crowes Nest until further notice.

"This is a difficult decision but we believe this precautionary measure will ensure the safety of both our staff and customers.

"We thank you for supporting local during this difficult time and we hope to see you again in the Crowes Nest very soon."

Meanwhile, a bar in Belfast city centre has announced that it will be taking a "wee break" in the new year after a tough 2021.

The Ulster Sports Club has said it has decided to take a break after New Year's Eve until mid-January in order to have a "well earned rest".
