Cristiano Ronaldo storms off as Al Nassr players involved in full-time confrontation

Former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo was involved in a spat with Al Feiha's Ali Al-Zaqaan as Al Nassr were held to a goalless draw.

Ronaldo was seen to be clearly frustrated at the full-time whistle after his side struggled to break down Al Feiha's defence. After seven minutes of stoppage time, Al-Zaqaan is caught on camera having a confrontation with the ex-Red.

On the TV broadcast, Ronaldo can be heard saying: "You don't want to play," as he stormed off the field. Behind him, players from both sides exchanged pushes as Al Nassr were left frustrated at their dropped points.

Ronaldo's side had been battling hard to overtake Al Ittihad at the top of the table but the leaders have proven they can match them step-by-step. Al Nassr went into the match at the King Salman Sport City Stadium in high spirits following a 5-0 victory over Al Adalah on Tuesday night.

The Portuguese star scored twice on that occasion but in truth did not come close to scoring this weekend. Both teams would struggle to break the deadlock in the opening 45 with chances kept to a minimum.

Ronaldo was sent through on goal in the first half but a heavy touch allowed 'keeper Vladimir Stojkovic to read the danger. After the interval, the momentum of the game changed as Al Nassr pressed hard for a goal they desperately needed.

United's ex-striker had a chance to score in spectacular fashion but his free kick sailed over the crossbar. Talisca would have the ball in the back of the net for the visitors but his effort was ruled out for offside.

In truth, Stojkovic was not tested enough despite Al Nassr's best efforts and a clearly upset Ronaldo removed his captain's armband as he went down the tunnel. The Saudi side's anger with their result will only grow if Al Ittihad hold on to their 2-1 lead against Al Wehda.

Should the result remain the same, Al Nassr will be three points behind Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo will be back in action again on Tuesday, April 18 against Al Hilal.
