Cristiano Ronaldo reveals chat with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before Man United transfer

Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up on his relationship with Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and says he is willing to do anything for the club in his first interview since re-signing.

Ronaldo re-joined the club after 12 years away on deadline day in a €15m move from Juventus

The Portuguese forward previously spent six years at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2009, winning three Premier League titles, the Champions League, two League Cups and a Ballon d'Or before moving to Real Madrid, and then Juve.

During his time at United, Ronaldo was a teammate of Solskjaer.

Now 36-years-old, Ronaldo is the veteran in the Norwegian's squad and says his relationship with the boss is still excellent.

Speaking to the club's media team, Ronaldo admitted he hasn't spoken with Solskjaer about his role yet but that the boss can count on him for anything he wants.

He said: “Well, we had a chat, but of course I’m going to have time to speak with him face to face, to know what he expects.

“As you know, I played with him for two or three years at Manchester United so I have a good relationship with him but now with a different role, I’m a player and he’s a coach.

“But it doesn’t matter, my relationship with him is great and as I say before, I’m there in Manchester to help the team achieve his results and the coach can count on me for whatever he wants. So I’m available for everything.”
