Cribbs Causeway Premier Inn fire: Pictures show devastation caused by still burning blaze

Pictures have captured the morning after a huge blaze broke out at the Premier Inn in Cribbs Causeway .

More than 60 firefighters from across Bristol have been involved in tackling the fire.

The blaze started on the third floor shortly after 1pm yesterday (July 17) and spread to the roof, causing extensive damage to the building.

The front face of the hotel collapsed onto the A4108, which remains closed today (July 18).

Video footage captured the moment a Premier Inn sign collapsed from the top of the building as firefighters attempted to tackle the flames.

Pictures taken this morning show the damage caused to the hotel, as well as smoke rising from the building and emergency services at the scene.

The images show the top floors of the building have completely collapsed, leaving the building gutted with debris littering the road.

A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue also said local residents are being warned to close their doors and windows while the A4018 (Cribbs Causeway Road) remains closed in both directions .

The ambulance service told Bristol Live yesterday there were no reports of injuries.
