Craigmillar park crash: A701 at Cameron Toll closed in both directions after car accident

A car accident on the A701 near Cameron Toll shopping centre has left the road closed in both directions.

A navy BMW was seen on the road with serious damage caused to a number of traffic lights.

Eyewitnesses reported a number of police vehicles and an ambulance on the scene.

Lothian Buses issued a service update shortly before 9pm to say a number of bus routes had been diverted as a result of the road closure.

"Due to a road closure southbound services are diverted via East Preston Street, Dalkeith Road and Cameron Toll," the alert red.
