A Northern Ireland hospital's emergency department was partially closed for a few hours following an incident this morning.
The Southern Health and Social Care Trust confirmed that part of the emergency department at Craigavon Area Hospital had been damaged in an incident.
The affected section was closed and a spokesperson warned of a possible impact on waiting times due to the incident. The emergency department has since full reopened.
The fire service confirmed they were called at 6.48am on Tuesday morning to Main block C at the hospital following reports of a fire but that it was out on arrival of crews and no action was needed on their part.
In a statement, the Southern Health and Social Care Trust said: "Part of Craigavon Area Hospital Emergency Dept. was damaged in an incident this morning but no patients or staff were harmed.
"The Emergency Department remains open today but the affected area remains closed. We expect that this incident will impact on waiting times and ask that people only come to the emergency department if they urgently require emergency care and treatment.
"Thanks to our staff for all their hard work in keeping the ED open. More updates to follow."
