Craig Revel Horwood confirms Strictly Come Dancing future after fears he'd quit BBC show

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has confirmed he will return to the show in 2024.

The TV star sparked speculation that he had decided to give up his seat at the judging table when he broke down in tears during the series final.

Hours after the finale, reports then emerged which claimed his was quitting the BBC ballroom show for good.

However, the stage star reassured Strictly fans on ITV's This Morning on Friday that he is not leaving, while promoting his upcoming pantomime stint Cinderella in Wimbledon.

Speaking to him ahead of one of his performances, former Big Brother contestant Kate asked: “Are we going to see you on Strictly next year?”

Shutting down the reports, he responded: “Yes you are! I’m definitely coming back. Don’t believe any of those vicious rumours, no.”

However, the TV star did hint that he may be giving up his stage stints, adding: “I might hang up my dancing shoes just on the stage, and go towards direction, but that’s about it.”

In response to his comments, Lawlor excitedly shared: “We’ve got confirmation! He’s on Strictly next year. All right!” while Revel Horwood punched the air in agreement."

While he may be back for Strictly in 2024, he has previously hinted he will exit the show when he turns 60.

The star, who will celebrate his 59th birthday in January, said in a September interview with Best: “I’ll do that when I’m 60, hang up my shoes and enjoy life.

“But I’m working hard while I can, especially as I love what I do. It keeps me on my toes, darlings! I’m now the same age as the late, great Len Goodman was when he first started - that’s scary, isn’t it?!”
