Cowboys Fans Were Devastated by Trevon Diggs’s Reportedly Season-Ending Injury

Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs was riding high through the first two games of the 2023 season.

The fourth-year Alabama product had an interception and four tackles for a 2–0 Dallas team. It looked like Diggs was set to play a starring role on a bona fide Super Bowl contender.

However, Diggs’s season appears to have come to an end. Per reports from Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Diggs tore his ACL in practice Thursday and is out for the rest of the season.

The injury shook up an NFL world already reeling from early-season injuries to stars like Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Browns running back Nick Chubb.

Dallas’s fans were universally devastated.

Everyone seemed to express their hurt in a different way.

Many noted the unusual volume of high-profile injuries in the NFL this season.

High-profile fans like YouTuber Cameron Magruder voiced their displeasure.

The past antics of lifelong Cowboys fan Skip Bayless were referenced.

Players such as Eagles cornerback Darius Slay sent their well-wishes.

Some Dallas fans offered sacrifices.

A general sentiment emerged: the Cowboys, once one of the NFL’s most charmed franchises, have had some atrocious luck in recent years.
