Cowboys' Dez Bryant has hairline fracture in his right knee

FRISCO, Texas _ Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has a hairline fracture in his right knee, coach Jason Garrett said Wednesday.

Garrett also said Bryant remains day-to-day, but it's unlikely Bryant will play with that type of injury based on the results of the magnetic resonance imaging exam.

"He has a slight hairline fracture in one of the bones in his knee," Garrett said. "We have had players with this kind of injury who missed no time in the past and other players who have missed up to a week or two or more than that."

Bryant injured his knee on the first drive of last Sunday's 31-17 victory against the Chicago Bears. He missed a few plays before returning to finish the game and even caught a game-clinching 17-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

"When he comes in tomorrow (Thursday), we will see how he feels and we will make our evaluation as we go forward," Garrett said.

The Cowboys play at San Francisco on Sunday.

"Different players have played with this in past and varying degrees of time out of the lineup," Garrett reiterated.
