Couple in 60s arrested for stealing PPE and food donations from hospital

A couple in their 60s have been arrested and charged with stealing personal protective equipment and food donations from a hospital.

Stephen Fuller and Christine Dolan have been accused in connection with the theft of essential items.

Personal protective equipment, including gloves and masks and food donations, were taken.

The thefts are believed to have happened on a number of different occasions between January and April.

The 64-year-old hospital worker and a 60-year-old woman, both from Worcester Park, Surrey, have been remanded following an investigation into the alleged crimes at Epsom General Hospital.

A police spokesman said that the hospital alerted detectives to the matter.

A police spokesperson said: "Stephen Fuller, of Buckland Way has been charged with theft by an employee and Christine Dolan, also of Buckland Way, has been charged with handling stolen goods.

"They have been remanded to appear via video link at Guildford Magistrates Court."
