An newly engaged couple have appealed to people who may have snapped their special moment in the capital.
Edinburgh born Dan got down on one knee to pop the question to Becca last Friday beside Edinburgh Castle.
In a romantic bang, Dan asked his fiancé to marry him to the iconic sound of the city's one o'clock gun.
The couple had travelled from down south for the special day and are now appealing for people's help who may have captured the moment on camera.
A post shared on Edinburgh Castle's social media, read: "Congratulations to Dan and Becca on getting engaged to the sound of our one o'clock gun last Friday Edinburgh born and bred Dan surprised his now fianceé when the couple visited his home city from down south.
"The couple has asked for your help! If you visited the castle on Friday 4 September at 1pm and captured their special moment in any other photos or videos, please get in touch with us."
