In response to road safety concerns raised by local residents, North Lanarkshire Council initiated a public consultation exercise in Calderbank and Chapelhall.
It ran from February 24 until March 21, and gave both communities the opportunity to provide feedback on a range of potential road safety improvements.
All feedback from the consultation was carefully considered prior to finalising the proposed road safety improvements in each village.
The results of the public consultation, including details of the proposed road safety improvements in both villages, will be available from June 17 on the council’s website here
Construction works are due to commence in Chapelhall in early July, and it is anticipated that works in Calderbank will follow in the autumn.
North Lanarkshire Council would like to thank everyone who participated in the consultation.
