Corrie stars join fans in mocking character detail that sent them into meltdown

Jack P Shepherd and Julia Goulding are very in tune with Coronation Street fans - or so it seems.

Fans best know the actors for playing on-screen couple David and Shona Platt.

And they're set to have drama on their hand this week - and for the foreseeable - as the sinkhole in their garden could be the cause of their neighbour's death.

But Shona is also in unexpected danger too.

And she isn't directly involved, she will attempt to be the heroine as she goes to Johnny and Jenny Connor's rescue after they become trapped in rising water below the cobbles.

Away from the drama, however, Jack and Julia have been having a laugh on set.

Taking to Instagram, Jack shared a photo of his on-screen wife in her Corrie-branded puffer jacket stood outside a dressing room.

And she was stood alongside something that is very important to another character.

Corrie fans went into meltdown earlier this month thanks to Kevin Webster.

As he appeared in scenes looking for then-missing Abi Franklin, viewers were left distracted by his attire - specifically a bomber jacket they say he's had for '30 years'.

As Julie stood next to and pointed at the coat, Jack wrote 'Iconic' which would have had soap fans in stitches.

But the jacket will be the least of Kev's worries after he was knocked unconscious by Harvey Gaskell in scenes aired on Monday night.

The drug lord escaped from his prison van after it crashed it to the Alahan's car on a country road.

Dev had already broken down due to two tyre punctures but when Kev arrived in his overalls, he was whacked over the head and left in the road.

But fans had to make a joke.

"I hope Kevin's jacket didn't get damaged in all that? #Corrie," tweeted one.

Another said: "I hope Kevin’s not got blood all over his plum coloured bomber jacket! #Corrie."
