Corrie's Summer diagnosed with mental health issues in fallout of Seb's murder

Coronation Street 's Summer Spellman is diagnosed as suffering from stress and anxiety in devastating scenes to come as the daughter of Billy Mayhew struggles to deal with the fallout of Seb Franklin's murder.

Summer was there shortly before Corey Brent kicked Seb in the head, killing him, while him and his thugs also attacked Nina Lucas, who survived.

Summer feels immense guilt over the incident, despite not being responsible, and Nina lashes out at her when she tries to speak to her, as Nina is also not coping well.

Nina tells Summer she should not be the one who is feeling sad, as it was Nina's boyfriend who was murdered, not Summer's.

Billy gets a call from Summer’s school who are concerned about her work, and she is then referred to a specialist who confirms she is struggling with her mental health.

Summer has already been threatened by Corey into keeping silent, while Nina knows he is guilty and attempts to take justice into her own hands in terrifying scenes to come.

Nina goes out drinking all night, worrying Roy Cropper and when she is ill prepared for a meeting at the factory, she tells Sarah to stick her job.

She even tears up her graphic novel she has been writing, calling it rubbish just like her life is.

In the Rovers she drinks with a much older man named Hughie who she met in town the night before.

Daisy is disapproving and when Hughie suggests they go back to his hotel, Daisy confides in Seb's mum Abi how worried she is about Nina.

In the hotel bar, Nina spots Tommy Orpington at a table with Corey. As Tommy shows off Corey’s ‘Best New Talent’ award, Nina tells Tommy how Corey kicked her boyfriend to death.

As they go to leave, Nina picks up the award and follows them. What will she do?

* Coronation Street airs Mondays and Wednesdays 7.30pm and 8.30pm with an hour long episode at 7.30 on Fridays on ITV
