Corrie's 'cute' on-screen couple enjoy sunny pub trip as romance takes step forward in soap

Coronation Street stars Daniel Brocklebank and Gareth Price took some time away from filming for a well-deserved pub trip.

The actors were all smiles as they got to enjoy a glimpse of Manchester sun while down the boozer.

"Little lunch date with@garpierce," Dan shred alongside the selfie he posted to his thousands of followers.

Their off-screen meet up came as their characters, Billy Mayhew and Todd Grimshaw, took a step forward in their relationship in Wednesday night's hour long episode.

The happy post was flooded with comments from Dan and Gareth's Corrie co-stars and fans.

" CUTE," Toyah Battersby actress Georgia Taylor declared alongside a love heart eye emoji.

A fan added: "Awwww cute pic. Enjoy."

"How gorgeous are you two?!" another gushed.

A third commented: "You 2 are my absolute faves."

"What’s wrong with lunch at The Rovers. Great photo of you both. Hope you had a nice lunch," a fourth added.

Another said: "Wouldn't mind being in that corrie sandwich."

But even they can't escape the comments about their on-screen love affair.

"Sorry prefer Paul don't trust Todd good actor though," one fan said.

Another commented: "Hate that Todd," to which Dan replied: "Shame. He’s very fond of you.."

In last night's episode of Corrie, fans saw Todd happily run back home to grab his belongings after Billy asked him to move in.

Billy appears to have had a change of heart after Summer returned home from the hospital where she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.

But as fans know, Billy is completely unaware of Todd's scheming to get Billy's ex Paul Winter out of the picture in order to get Billy back to himself.
