Coronation Street revealed who racist Griff's mystery benefactor was on Monday night, and it spells trouble for his enemy Maria Connor.
Griff has been spreading hate amongst the street in a bid to get residents on side, but he failed and has found a nemesis in councillor Maria.
He has managed to manipulate teenager Max Turner, much to the horror of his family.
Recent scenes have seen extremest gang leader Griff and his racist friends protesting and campaigning in the hope of getting more people on their side, all while spreading misinformation to residents of Weatherfield.
A recent incident with Alya Nazir saw him use an altercation to lie that he was attacked by a group of Muslim teenagers, in the hope of pushing his racist agenda.
All the while, it's become clear he has someone with money helping him to push out his campaigns, while also providing tech equipment for the group.
On Monday night it was confirmed who that person was, and it was a familiar face leaving viewers stunned and horrified.
As Griff met with the man in question and demanded more money, it was revealed that councillor Len Cameron had been supplying the group with their funds.
Before clashing with Maria recently, Len previously clashed with campaigner Sally Metcalfe - with one issue in particular spurring Maria on to join the council.
Now, Len has been working alongside Maria on the council - and recently he was seen going against her over her Winter Market ideas.
Considering he has gone against Maria and is clearly supporting Griff and his group, and their vile views, could we see Len get more involved in the group?
It's safe to predict that when or if Maria finds out the pair are in cahoots, she will waste no time in revealing the truth.
As viewers reeled from the twist, some predicted it could lead to Griff and Len teaming up to take down Maria.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "So Griff is being funded by the Councillor trying to ruin Maria."
Another tweeted: "Is that the Councillor guy that Griff is talking to?! The one who hates Maria?"
A third viewer added: "I knew that councillor was dodgy He's Griff's money man," as a fourth wrote: "So the councillor is the money backer for Griffs group. The racist."
