Coronation Street is gearing up for more emotional scenes as stars of the soap were spotted filming for a funeral.
Fans of the ITV soap watched on Friday night as "Super Soap Week" came to a tragic end for Johnny Connor.
The former Rovers Return landlord was heroically trying to save ex-wife Jenny after she was swallowed up by the Platt's sinkhole.
But the pair became trapped in rising water - until Shona Platt came to the rescue, using rope in the water to pull them to safety.

As the time came for them both to swim for their lives underwater, Jenny went first and tried to get her former husband to make the journey too.
But after they admitted to still loving each other, Johnny didn't make it.
This week viewers will see an emotional Carla lay flowers for her dad outside the factory whilst a drunken Jenny wants to throw a party in his honour - much to Daisy and Carla’s dismay.

As Jenny goes to pour herself another drink, Carla switches off the jukebox in the Rovers and locks the door, determined to put a stop to the party.
Later, as Jenny sits alone in the darkened pub, crying over Johnny, she’s interrupted by a knock on the door - it's Leo!

Corrie stars Sally Ann Matthews (Jenny), Alison King (Carla), Charlotte Jordan (Daisy) and Chris Gascoigne (Peter Barlow) have all been snapped filming the upcoming funeral scenes.
The group were seen wiping away tears as the cameras rolled, laying a white flower wreath at the graveside.

But there were laughs in between takes as the group wrapped up warm in big red puffa coats.
The Corrie scenes were being filmed at St Lawrence Church, Over Peover in Knutsford as the horrific death played out on screen.

Before then though, a furious Carla and Jenny confront David and Shona over the sinkhole.
A shamefaced David ends up admitting that had they had the repairs done sooner, Johnny would still be alive.

After his exit was played out to viewers, actor Richard Hawley revealed he was "ready to go" after almost seven years on the ITV soap.
Speaking about finding out Johnny was going to die, Richard, 66, said: " Iain [MacLeod] the producer had known for some time that I was ready to go.

"I talked to him about it in the previous year and then all the plans and arrangements got stymied because of Covid and I was actually very happy to be working through that year.
"I was very fortunate."

He added: "It could have been then that I stayed but I live a long way from Coronation Street and I have done over 6 years and all the traveling back and forth was getting a bit much for me."
Richard also admitted to being "overjoyed" about his exit storyline.
