Coronation Street fans have predicted a new romance between Daisy Midgeley and Daniel Osbourne after tuning into Friday night’s episode.
The latest instalment of the ITV soap saw a disillusioned Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) ask Daniel (Rob Mallard) to write an exposé article about the Double Glammy pyramid scheme.
After finding out about the make-up company's dodgy dealings, Sean was keen to let everyone in Weatherfield know what a rip-off it is.
However, Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) was loving the scheme and finally managed to convince stepmum Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) that they should buy the Rovers Return pub together.
As she returned from the bank, Daisy was feeling ecstatic but her smile soon turned upside down when she learned of Daniel's plan.
As the pair sat in a restaurant together, Daisy was clearly flirting with Daniel as she tried to persuade him not to submit his story to the local newspaper.
When Daisy questioned his report, Daniel argued: "I wouldn’t say it was condemning," as she replied: "I am part of that system."
Following their conversation, Corrie viewers rushed to Twitter to post about the pair.
“Daniel & Daisy the next couple.. ?? … #Corrie,” one person asked.
“Ok but Daisy and Daniel though #corrie,” another said, while a third added: “I… kind of ship Daniel and Daisy #corrie.”
A fourth viewer claimed on Twitter: “Can see Daisy and Daniel getting together #Corrie.”
However, another person predicted: "I reckon Daisy might play a naughty card here. Good luck Daniel, hang on. #Corrie."
Their flirty chat ended with Daisy storming out of the restaurant when Daniel confirmed that his story had already been published online.
She was later seen getting some bad news on the phone as she found out that her account had been closed.
But she didn't have the heart to Jenny what had happened and how it's going to affect their plans to buy the pub.
