In stories that moved on Sept. 3 and Sept 7, The Canadian Press erroneously reported that Dr. Matt Strauss, who was appointed the acting medical officer of health in Haldimand-Norfolk, had described people who kept their businesses open in violation of public health orders as "heroes.'' In fact, the man Strauss called a "hero" was a businessman who claimed he would keep his gym open under the Reopening Ontario Act guidelines that make exceptions for people with disabilities who need physical therapy.
