In an amazing gesture of kindness during this difficult time, a busy Dublin shop is offering a 'free of charge' and 'first priority' service to the elderly during the coronavirus lockdown.
Maxol in Dolphin's Barn has said they are willing to help any elderly people who have been unable to get milk, bread, toilet roll and other necessary items during the COVID-19 scare.
The shop told customers that they had stock especially set aside and that anyone elderly would beat the queue no matter how busy the store is.
They said: "Any elderly people in the area of Dolphin's Barn or Crumlin area that weren’t able to get toilet roll, milk or bread.
"Call into our store and we will help you out free of charge.
"We have set stock aside for them and they will also be our first priority.

"They will skip the queue and be served first. We've got all your essentials needs and we will do our best to get you all in and out as fast as we can and back home to the safety of your homes."
