Manchester United have written to fans urging them to follow government protocol amid the continuing coronavirus pandemic.
United expressed their gratitude to the NHS and passed on their thought and sympathies to those that had already been affected by the killer bug.
The Red Devils - as with all other Premier League clubs - are training from home with players and coaches keeping touch with one another via technology.
In a joint-message from men's and women's managers Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Casey Stoney, they said: "Firstly, on behalf of everyone at Manchester United, our thoughts are with anyone who has been directly affected by this virus and everyone dealing with the impact of it.
"All our gratitude goes to the healthcare staff working on the frontline of the NHS here in the UK and in hospitals around the world at this particularly difficult time.
"We are all having to adjust – fans, players, coaches – to a new way of living, without our fix of football, although we all agree that everyone’s health and wellbeing at this time is much more important.
"These are unprecedented times and we now need to all come together to combat this global pandemic. It is important for everyone to follow government guidelines to help control the spread of COVID-19, wherever you are in the world.
"That's what we're doing at Manchester United, with all our players now training at home, following individual programmes and using technology to stay in touch with our medical, fitness and coaching staff.
"For everyone's wellbeing, we all need to change our behaviour and look at new ways of communicating. We are lucky that many of us have access to technology that enables us to video call people so we can still see our friends and family without being face to face.
"By making these changes, or simply making sure we call and not visit or meet in person, we can all help save lives.
"We're all looking forward to the football season resuming when it is safe to do so. Until then, we need to be united in looking after ourselves, our families and supporting our local communities. Stay safe, stay home and we hope to see you all soon."
