Coronavirus Ireland map: Where are the 34 confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far?

The number of coronavirus cases in the Republic of Ireland has now grown to 34.

A further ten were announced on Tuesday night as the worldwide numbers continue to soar.

Five of the cases are associated with travel from one of the heavily affected areas.

Three of these are males in the south of the country.

One male and one female in the east of the country also tested positive, and both cases are associated with travel from an affected area.

Meanwhile three of the ten cases are associated with close contact with a confirmed case - a male and a female in the west and a female in the south.

Two of the new cases are understood to be healthcare workers.

One of these is a male in the south associated with hospital transmission, while one female in the east is also possibly due to hospital transmission.

Here are the full list of cases confirmed by the Department of Health on Tuesday:

- One male, a healthcare worker, in the south of the country, associated with hospital transmission.

- One female, a healthcare worker, in the east of the country, possible hospital transmission

- Three males, in the south of the country, associated with travel from an affected area

- One male, in the west of the country, associated with close contact with a confirmed case

- One female, in the west of the country, associated with close contact with a confirmed case

- One female, in the south of the country, associated with close contact with a confirmed case

- One male, in the east of the country, associated with travel from an affected area

- One female, in the east of the country, associated with travel from an affected area
