Coronavirus Ireland: Boots pharmacy limit sales on nine products due to high demand

Boots pharmacy currently have limits on a number of products due to surging demand in stores across Ireland.

The chain has seen an unprecedented amount of shoppers heading into their stores across the country in recent weeks due to the coronavirus.

And as a result they have put limits in place on nine different types of product as to not run out of them too soon during this pandemic.

A spokesperson for the pharmacy said: "To our customers, as we're sure you can understand, we've seen unprecedented demand across many of our ranges and to ensure all of you have an opportunity to purchase them we'll be limiting the number of sales on certain products."

The following products are listed as being in limited supply;

- Products containing paracetamol

- Pain relief

- Cough and cold products

- Children's medicine

- Thermometers

- Tissues and wipes

- Hand sanitisers, soap and handwash

- Baby milks

- Baby sterilising and antibacterial products.

Boots store across the country are also operating with different opening hours and small health alterations due to the pandemic.

A spokesperson said: "Currently all our stores are open but some stores may have altered their usual opening hours. Please contact your local store for their most up-to-date opening hours.

"You may be asked to observe social distancing, particularly during busy periods, to try and limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19)."
