A Coronation Street star has confirmed that he will be leaving the soap just hours after his final episode aired.
Aidan O’Callaghan, who played Alan Driscoll on the long-running ITV soap, announced the news in an Instagram post on Saturday (16 May).
The 38-year-old, who took on the role last December, shared a montage of behind-the-scenes clips from his time on the cobbles.
“Alan may be gone..but the drama isn’t,” he wrote. “Last night Weatherfield hasn’t forgotten him and neither have I.”
