Coronation Street spoilers for next week - manipulative scheming and a sinister past exposed

Revelations will come to light for a number of residents on Coronation Street next week.

While one is left squirming as his past comes under scrutiny, suspicions are heightened between other family members.

After spotting something unsettling, one cobbles resident confides in another about some crucial evidence.

But will they really go up against their own dad?

Here's what you can look forward to on Corrie...

Johnny squirms as he is confronted by dark past

Johnny has been keeping something to himself for months, even fleeing to France just to get away from the arrival of Scott.

It was clear the pair knew each other and while Scott was keen to talk, Johnny immediately fled.

While his wife Jenny came back recently, Johnny left her annoyed when he stayed behind - with Scott sure he was hiding from him.

Viewers knew Johnny was holding something back and that he shared a past with Scott, but details remained under wraps until now.

Coronation Street has confirmed Johnny Connor's dark secret and his true link to Scott (ITV)

Amid speculation Scott could be the real father of Johnny's daughter Carla, new spoilers for Corrie have revealed the truth.

It turns out Johnny does have a dark secret, and that it involves a crime he and Scott committed together many years ago.

While details are not yet being revealed, when the pair were much younger they did something he no doubt regrets now.

Coronation Street fans are more sure than ever who newcomer Scott really is (ITV)

The pair discuss their shocking crime, with this being what Johnny has tried to avoid for so long.

His secret comes under threat too, as when Jenny invites Scott over for dinner he can't help but mention their younger days.

It's thought they were teenagers when the incident occurred, as it was over 40 years ago.

Perhaps Johnny thought he was finally free of his past, only for Scott to thwart that.

But why is he back, and why now?

Alya suffers breakdown after Geoff sabotage

Alya Nazir will be left struggling next week as Geoff makes it a mission to sabotage her.

Earlier this month, viewers have watched as Alya has tried to buy Geoff out of Speed Daal, but he has refused her offer.

She is left horrified when he turns up for work and she orders him out, but he tells her that he is legally allowed to be there.

Geoff later reveals that he has applied for an alcohol licence, leaving her utterly furious.

Despite telling him that he needs Yasmeen's permission too, she is furious to discover an alcohol delivery on the doorstep of the restaurant.

She refuses to let Geoff buy her out of the business and, in turn, he tries to sabotage the restaurant by cancelling shifts.

Alya is left struggling with takeout orders and ends up losing it and ends up smashing up the place and throws everyone out.

Will she be ok?

Tim to bring down dad with CCTV evidence

Tim is left incredibly suspicious of dad Geoff after spotting his reaction to Alya's breakdown.

While his dad plays the victim again, Ryan tells Tim that his dad has been undermining Alya for months.

As a result, Tim is left wondering whether Geoff really is as innocent as he has been making out.

Tim later lets slip at home about Geoff's CCTV camera and Sally is horrified, begging Tim to see his dad for who he is...
