Coronation Street's Millie Gibson taken aback by transformation ahead of show exit

Millie Gibson was taken aback by her transformation on This Morning.

The soap star is renowned for her portrayal of Kelly Neelan in the long-running ITV show. The 18-year-old joined the Corrie cast in 2019 and has become one of the show's most important characters.

However, her time on the Cobbles will come to an end tonight in dramatic fashion after her revenge plot on Gary Windass took a disastrous turn. Kelly wanted to get revenge on Gary in the show after she discovered he killed her dad, Rick.

Spoilers have revealed one of the characters is going to get shot, but the stars remained tight lipped on who would be hit by the bullet. Millie and Gary Windass actor, Mikey North, were interviewed on today's This Morning.

Millie was taken aback after a preview package charted her journey throughout Corrie. She said: "My face dropped. I've got brown hair and looked so young."

Millie was aged 14 when she first joined the show and she spoke about what it was like to combine her studies with acting on the show. She said: "I remember when I first started and was doing tutoring. I hated it.

"Then covid happened so when I came back I didn't have a chaperone or anything. Mikey didn't know what to expect because I'd just grown up all of a sudden."

Dermot was wowed by Mikey's age as he said: "You're supposed to play her father figure, but you look like three years older than her."
