Coronation Street's Kimberly Hart-Simpson supported by cast in career update

Coronation Street's Kimberly Hart-Simpson has been supported by her many fans as she shared news on her other job away from the soap.

The soap star is renowned for her role as former sex worker Nicky Wheatley on the long-running soap. She first arrived on the Cobbles in June 2020 and struck up a close bond with school teacher Daniel Osbourne.

Nicky returned to Weatherfield earlier this year and has endured a turbulent period on the ITV show. The character was given a job as a teaching assistant at Daniel's school before she was suspended when her previous job was exposed by Max Turner.

Away from the screen, Kimberly shares regular updates from her life with her 141k Instagram followers. Aside from being a TV star, she is also a talented seamstress.

She set up her own sustainable fashion business, Hart-Work, during the covid pandemic. On her website, she explains: "Working as a professional actor for over a decade, I picked up a sewing machine in 2018 when work was dry, but my creative mind wasn’t!

"Hours of YouTube videos and a couple of dodgy garms later, I discover I had the patience and steady hand to create. Fortunate enough to get my work on the red carpet at The Soap Awards 2018 I knew I had given birth to a new obsession; Hart-Work!"

This weekend, her brand launched in Urban Outfitters. Sharing a number of snaps on Instagram on Monday, the star said: "Get your sustainable brand into Urban Outfitters. Just Did It.

"Unreal weekend. Thank you so much to every single friend who passed buy this weekend and all customers. Needed more pics tbh but the memories will last forever. Where too next? …" [sic]

Fellow Corrie stars were quick to offer their support. Asha Alahan actress Tanisha Gorey said: "You’re amazing my love!!!!! xxx", to which Kimberly replied: "Thank you so much for coming down".

Amy Barlow star Elle Mulvaney simply posted two red heart emojis, to which Kimberly said: "Thanks so much my gal".
