Coronation Street's Jude Riordan's TV star dad and link to Michelle Keegan

Coronation Street star Jude Riordan first stepped onto the cobbles in 2020 - but the young actor has already had a pretty impressive career.

Despite being just 11-years-old, Jude has rubbed shoulders with many TV stars, including Michelle Keegan.

He also scooped Best Newcomer prize at the National Television Awards last year - becoming the youngest ever winner.

Jude's award was for his role as Sam Blakeman, Nick Tilsley's long lost son in Corrie.

He has showbiz running through his veins as his dad off screen is director Paul Riordan.

Paul has worked on the likes of Hollyoaks, Emmerdale and Casualty and started on Corrie in 2021.

Jude took to Twitter to share the exciting news that he and his dad wrapped on his first short film together.

He wrote: "Had the best time with the best team! First project w my Dad @paulrio27 and first project w @michaeltstevenson ... Would I do another YES."

He went on to explain: "This is a story very close to our hearts. A young carer Sean looking after his Mum Suzanne with early onset Dementia a story that is life for many young carers and needs to be told."

Jude ended his post: "Proud to be ambassador for St Helens Young Carers @sth.yc and hopefully we will raise awareness of how important their roles are and how important it is to get the care and support. I can't wait for you all to see it."

Jude's first appearance was in 2017 when he appeared on Channel 4's The Secret Life of 4, 5 & 6-Year-Olds.

His life at school was followed by cameras, and his charisma shone through - resulting in him being introduced to a talent agent.

The youngster's first acting job was on CBBC's Katy, where he appeared as Little Phil.

He then became the voice for the Haribo TV adverts.

In 2018 he starred alongside Michelle Keegan in Sky One's Brassic as Tyler - Michelle's son.

Speaking of his success in the comedy series, his mum Kellie, 39, said how he wasn't allowed to watch the show because it was "for adults".

"Even though he can't watch the show himself because it's for adults and includes strong language, we let him watch his scenes and he just loves it.

"After the Secret Life of Five Year Olds he just decided he liked doing acting and since then we got him an agent and he's doing really well," she told St Helen's Star.

"He's always got on well with people but I'm amazed how he gets on with all the adult actors, and Michelle Keegan is just so lovely with him," she added.
