Coronation Street viewers were gobsmacked by Todd's blunder with Freda.
Earlier this month, Freda told Ken and Rita that Norris had collapsed and was in hospital with a suspected stroke.
But when they arrived at the hospital in the later episode they were devastated to find out Norris died 30 minutes earlier.

Following his death , Freda has been organising Norris' funeral with the local undertaker George.
However, when Freda told George on today's episode that she would like to see Norris at a Chapel of Rest, she was devastated to find out that she couldn't visit him.
George explained that Todd had rung Freda to say they were sealing the casket earlier than scheduled.
But when Freda didn't answer the phone, Todd left a voicemail - forgetting she is deaf.
Freda rightly ranted at George, saying this was his and Todd's fault.
Viewers were shocked by Todd's thoughtless blunder, with many taking to Twitter.
Bev wrote: "Fancy leaving a deaf person a voicemail over something as important as that."
Garry said: "Yeah she can't hear a voicemail George!"
Owen tweeted: "Todd leaving Freda a voicemail", followed by an uneasy face emoji.
And Ryan added: "A voicemail for someone who is deaf, that's logical."
