Sparks were flying in tonight's Coronation Street as Asha Alahan 'crossed the line' from friendship to romance with Nina Lucas.
The 16-year-old moved in for a kiss with 18-year-old Nina as the girls worked in Roy Cropper's cafe together.
Asha, played by Tanisha Gorey, has been comforted by Nina's kind words after splitting from school crush Corey Brent, and her feelings have clearly developed for the cafe worker as she made a move.
Stopping short from kissing Nina, played by Mollie Gallagher, she said: "I crossed the line."
But Nina gently reassured: "There is no line, not between me and you."
As the pair went to kiss again, they froze when Nina's uncle Roy entered the cafe, oblivious to the charged atmosphere.
"I'm here for Asha and Nina!" cheered one fan on Twitter.
Nina was introduced to Coronation Street viewers in November 2019 when Roy tracked down his brother Richard Lucas.

He was surprised to find he had a teenage daughter and outspoken Nina has since become a firm favourite with fans.
Last year the character Nina won hearts by defending Asha against school bullies after she was mocked over a video that went viral of herself stripping for Corey.
She removed one of her lace gloves and punched the ringleader in the face, leaving him with a bloodied nose.
Budding artist Nina later sent Asha a sketch she had done of her new friend which made her smile.
The touching scenes had Corrie fans wondering if there could end up being more to this friendship.
It was their blossoming relationship that caused Asha to dump Corey after he mocked a choker necklace Nina had bought her for her 16th birthday.
Viewers were cheering as Asha gave him his marching orders after the cruel teen said to her: "I don't want people saying I'm going out with a dog.
"It doesn't suit you, it looks stupid. I'm the one who has to look at it."
But Asha said about her treasured gift: "I think it's pretty cool."
