Coronation Street fans 'work out' Stephen Reid is about to be rumbled

Coronation Street fans think Stephen Reid failed to cover his tracks in scenes that saw him drug Carla Connor on Wednesday night.

The serial killer has already taken the lives of Leo Thompkins and his father Teddy in two separate incidents, with Leo pushed off the balcony at Underworld, and Teddy gruesomely murdered with a hole punch.

It seems like Stephen is up to his usual dark tricks, as he spiked Carla's drink, keen to take over the factory from her and convince those around her that she is suffering from psychosis once more.

Last night's episode saw Carla call a meeting with Stephen and his niece Sarah. His worst fears were confirmed when Sarah was the Head of Design title, while Stephen was given the role of Office Manager.

Well aware of Carla's previous battle with psychosis, a vengeful Stephen slipped some LSD into Carla's coffee. After unknowingly taking it, she seems disconcerted and woozy, but Stephen's plan was not quite done there because he then headed to The Rovers and spiked her glass of wine with more LSD, the Mirror reports.

Carla's behaviour left Peter Barlow extremely concerned, and he rushed her home, convinced her psychosis had returned. But many fans watching the episode thought Stephen had failed to cover his tracks.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "Why has no one questioned why Stephen immediately jumps to psychosis after she has one-off afternoon? Right after talking about with Sarah and after she’s annoyed him?" A second added: "Given that Sarah has been having the exact conversation about Carla’s psychosis with Stephen, why can’t they work it out? Coincidence right #corrie."

A third said: "The fact that one ever suspects Stephen or thinks he’s weird or dodgy beggars belief", and a fourth added: "Stephen spiking Carla right after hearing about her psychosis, obvious much?"
