Coronation Street fans were delighted after seeing Sharon Bentley get arrested during Monday's episode.
The dodgy foster daughter of Rita Sullivan finally got what she deserved as the cops surrounded her on the cobbles and nicked her for her involvement in drug dealer Harvey's shady dealings.
However, it was a shock U-turn on Rita's part as she previously appeared to feel sympathy for her daughter and made out she was going to help her escape with £10,000.
Battered and bruised, Sharon had begged her foster mum not to call the police and was thrilled when Rita said she would be speaking to the bank about getting the large sum of money for her.

But as Jenny Connor rumbled them by letting herself into Rita's house and finding the pair of them about to enjoy a drink, police sirens could be heard as Sharon knew her time was up.
As she made a rather ridiculous attempt to run, the cops cornered in the street and were quick to whisk her away as Rita looked on upset.

"Have fun in prison Sharon. They'll love you in there, you'll fit right in. Rough," Jenny said with a huge grin on her face.
Despite being tricked by her foster mum, Sharon thanked Rita as the police took her away.
Coronation Street viewers were delighted with Rita's decision and took to Twitter to comment.
One person posted: "#Corrie Good riddance to Sharon," while another wrote: "Go Rita for calling the police on Sharon! @itvcorrie #Corrie."

A third tweeted: "YES Sharon's finally been arrested but can Rita ever forgive herself? Especially if she's officially just signed her Death Warrant #Corrie."
And a fourth added: "#corrie thank the Lord that’s over. What is happening to the Quality I know the actors deliver what’s written but that was dire especially Sean and Sharon both need culling ASAP."
Another fan penned: "Rita giving Sharon vodka knowing full well the cops were on the way, how sneaky! #Corrie," followed by laughing face emojis.
