Tim Metcalfe is no stranger to a funny Coronation Street scene or two.
Fans of the ITV soap are used to his often sarcastic humour and his ability to handle his wife Sally's latest obsessions.
But as 2021 drew to a close and 2022 began in Weatherfield, viewers have become worried for Tim.
The taxi driver appeared downcast towards the end of the year and during Monday night's first trip to the cobbles, viewers saw Tim and Sally kick off the new year with a smoothie as part of their new healthy regime.

Tim later tells Peter Barlow that he's booked both him and Sally in for health checks with Dr Gaddas.
But after Peter wound him up, letting him think the appointment would include a prostate examination, Tim enters the surgery room and pulls his trousers down, leaving Dr Gaddas having to quickly point out she just wanted to ask him a few questions.
Later, having successfully passed their health checks, Sally reckons they deserve a treat, but Tim’s reluctant and it’s clear he’s hiding something.
After returning home from the Rovers, a furtive Tim takes a call confirming an appointment, leaving Sally none the wiser.
And Corrie viewers were left making the same comment.

Tim, played by Joe Duttine, suffered a mild heart attack in 2019, leading Sally to forced him into a healthier lifestyle.
On Tuesday night, viewers will see Sally left disappointed when Tim refuses to join her for a run, making out he has to work.
Tim gets a text confirming his cardiology appointment at 3pm and when Sally finds out from Peter that Tim lied about having to work, she’s troubled.
A nervous Tim attends his appointment with the cardiology consultant who explains that he’ll need an angiogram - a type of X-ray used to examine blood vessels.
He rushes out dropping his wallet, but when Aggie returns it to the house he asks her not to tell Sally about the appointment as he doesn't want to worry her.
Later, Aggie secretly goes with him for his appointment after he refuses again to tell Sally but Tim is shocked when the consultant tells him he needs a triple heart bypass.
