Coronation Street aired Bethany Platt's final scenes on the ITV soap on Wednesday night.
The daughter of Sarah Platt left the Street for a new adventure in London five years after returning from Italy.
Actress Lucy Fallon bowed out of the role in the scenes, after quitting the show last year.
The character faced fresh heartache ahead of her final goodbyes, after boyfriend Daniel Osbourne made a devastating error.
Still not over the loss of his wife Sinead Tinker from cancer just months ago, residents feared he and Bethany were rushing into things.

Bethany couldn't see their point, angry with anyone who refused to accept her and Daniel as an item.
But as Daniel continued to struggle in the latest episode, she finally saw the truth.
Daniel wanted to prove his love to her, so decided to propose in front of Adam, Peter and Sarah.

But they and Bethany were reeling when they realised he was proposing with late Sinead's wedding ring.
Things took another distressing turn, when Daniel asked "Sinead" to marry him instead of Bethany.
As the pair had an emotional heart-to-heart, Bethany urged him not to rush in forgetting his late wife.

She finally realised her loved ones were right, and that he wasn't over Sinead's death.
Daniel tried to make her see they could work, in London or Weatherfield, but Bethany decided it was time to move on - and for him to look after himself.
Bethany packed up her things and made the decision to leave that day, saying farewell to her mum and family in tear-jerking scenes.

As David packed up the van for her, with her preparing to leave, Daniel and baby son Bertie said a final goodbye before she drove away from the Street for good.
Viewers were divided over the exit storyline, with many gutted to see her go.
Actress Lucy had teased the final scenes earlier on Wednesday, during an appearance on This Morning.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
