Corey Heim ties NASCAR Truck season win record with Loudon victory

Corey Heim remains unstoppable in the NASCAR Truck Series, sweeping the stages and winning at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. This marks the 20th win of Heim's career and his ninth of the 2025 season, which matches the all-time season win record set by Greg Biffle back in 1999.

"It's a dream come true to be able to race with these guys (TRICON)," said Heim. "It seems like everywhere we go this year, we're a contender or we win. Can't say enough about those guys and yeah, keep it going. We got four more races left and I want to break that record. Shoutout to Greg Biffle -- he's a great dude, and I'm honored to be able to compete with that. Huge thank you to TRICON Garage ... dream year for me in my career. We're gonna keep it going."

NHMS also marked the first round of eliminations in the NASCAR Truck playoffs with both Chandler Smith and Jake Garcia falling out of title contention. It's especially painful for Smith, who ran strong on Saturday and finished second to Heim.

Behind Heim and Smith, Layne Riggs finished third, Gio Ruggiero fourth, and Ty Majeski fifth. Grant Enfinger, Kaden Honeycutt, Corey LaJoie, Christian Eckes, and Rajah Caruth filled out the remainder of the top ten.

The race saw an unusually high number of incidents for New Hampshire, and it didn't take long for chaos to break out. Connor Mosack, Brent Crews, and Tanner Gray all crashed in the first corner on the opening lap.

Later, Jayson Alexander and Caleb Costner collided, triggering another multi-truck crash that even collected playoff driver Daniel Hemric. Alexander was irate on the radio, screaming" "Are you serious, dude! What f*** was that?"

The cautions kept coming, with Christian Eckes and Conner Jones tangling soon after the restart.

And while all this was happening, Heim remained firmly in control of the race, winning Stage 1 under caution after a mechanical failure sent Derek White careening into the outside wall.

At the start of Stage 2, Heim was outside the top ten as several trucks stayed out, led by Andres Perez who was out front for the first time in his career.

Ruggiero constantly harassed him for the lead, but he couldn't quite complete the pass. Patrick Emerling crashed with just a few laps to go, setting up  a sprint to the finish for Stage 2. At this point, Heim had made his way back up to fourth.

Caruth, who entered this race on the playoff bubble, stayed out in an aggressive strategy to try and snag some stage points. He restarted with the lead, but fell to seventh, which was still enough to net four valuable points.

Heim went on to win the stage, adding another playoff point to his impressive margin.

While there was no drama up front, the field kept the chaos coming as Tyler Tomassi crashed.

Soon after, there was a major incident that saw Toni Breidinger slam the outside wall head-on. Ben Rhodes and Matt Crafton were also involved with both drivers sustaining significant damage. All drivers were checked and released from the infield care center.

At the sharp end of the field, Smith got second back on the final restart, but he couldn't run down Heim. The margin got under a second as they cut through slower traffic, but it still wasn't enough as Heim captured the checkered flag over the Front Row Motorsports driver.
