Cops have swooped on Possilpark in the north of Glasgow as part of an 'ongoing operation'.
Pictures posted on social media last night show two police vehicles - one a police dogs van - with sniffer dogs appearing to be searching the back of a car.
When asked this morning for detail about the incident, at Balmore Road and Drumfearn Road, Police Scotland confirmed their attendance "as part of an ongoing operation". No further details have been given at this stage.
Local residents claimed on social media they had heard sirens before police officers descended on a housing development just off Balmore Road.
