Cops swoop on 'disturbance' in Fife street

Police swooped on a street in Fife amid reports of a disturbance.

Emergency services raced to the Wallace Street in Cowdenbeath after being called to reports of a disturbance at around 7.05pm on Monday November 30.

Pictures from the scene show multiple marked police cars as officers stand guard in the area.

The circumstances surrounding the disturbance are not yet known, but an investigation has been launched.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received report of a disturbance on Wallace Street, Cowdenbeath, around 7.05pm on Monday, 30 November, 2020.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

"Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 2796 of 30 November."
