Cops hunt for four men who carried out brutal attack in Aberdeenshire

Police have launched a hunt for four men after they brutally attacked and hospitalised another man in an Aberdeenshire town.

The group set about the 48-year-old man at around 3.40pm on Monday in Moray Road, Fraserburgh.

A statement from Police Scotland said the man was taken to hospital in the town and treated for injuries.

He has now been discharged and cops have released descriptions of three of the men they are hunting after the serious assault.

One is described as wearing a black jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Another was said to be wearing a blue tracksuit top, navy jeans and dark shoes.

The third is said to have short dark hair and was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt with white stripes.

Constable Scott Firth, from Fraserburgh Police Office, said: “We’re appealing for anyone who saw this assault take place, or saw the men responsible leaving the area along Moray Road, to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information can contact Police on 101, quoting incident 2013 of 22 March. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
