Cops hunt five men after fire rips through Glasgow warehouse

Cops are hunting for five men after a fire at a warehouse in Glasgow .

Officers from Police Scotland are keen to speak to the males who were seen hanging around the Hillington Industrial Estate last night at around the time of the blaze.

Fire crews were called to Mr Deng’s on Barrie Road at around 10.15pm after reports of a large fire outside the property.

The inferno was extinguished and fortunately no one was injured as a result.

The building has suffered heavy smoke damage.

Cops believe one of the men seen around the area started the fire.

The five men are described as:

1. Thin build wearing a black hooded top, black shorts and dark trainers.
2. Thin build wearing a blue tracksuit top with a white stripe on the back and dark trousers.
3. Thin build wearing a dark top and red trousers.
4 and 5. Thin build wearing dark coloured tracksuits.

Detective Constable Jamie Howarth at Paisley CID said: "This was a very senseless and reckless act to carry out and thankfully no-one was hurt.

"I urge anyone who saw the group of males hanging around the area or anyone who knows their identity to contact police at Paisley via telephone number 101."
