Cops armed with riot shields descended on a street in Moray during an incident which saw a man arrested.
Pictures from Pinefield Crescent, Elgin, show officers in full riot gear after being alerted to concern for a person around 3.05pm on Wednesday September 23.
Negotiators were also called to the scene.
A 32-year-old male was cuffed and later taken to hospital for an assessment.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told The Scottish Sun : "Around 3.05pm on Wednesday, 23 September, officers were called to Pinefield Apartments, Elgin after concern was raised regarding a man in a property there.
"Officers and negotiators attended this incident and the 32 year-old man was later arrested and taken to hospital for assessment.
"A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
