The long-awaited 2020 edition of convenience specialist Nisa’s annual trade show opens for registration today for partners and suppliers.
Nisa Expo, which takes place on October 20 and October 21, is being hosted virtually for the first time, and is set to include all the usual features of the huge Stoneleigh event together with some additional interactivity only available through a virtual platform.
Despite the very different event, the expo is described by the Scunthorpe-headquartered team as providing the perfect opportunity for suppliers and partners to interact, help each other grow their businesses, strike deals and learn more about the group of companies.
As reported, Nisa has gained market share through lockdown, with chief executive Ken Towle praising independent retailers for "really stepping up".
Nisa events manager Jenny Potts said: “We’re really pleased to be opening registration. The interest we’ve received so far from partners, suppliers and Nisa colleagues is really encouraging and we’re excited to be able to offer our very first virtual Nisa Expo which promises to be a fantastic event with a great line-up.
“Importantly, hosting Nisa Expo virtually will ensure Nisa partners and suppliers receive the support they need at this difficult time, in a safe environment for all participants to interact.”
The original event had been planned for April, making it one of the first major events to fall because of the coronavirus.
