'Consider this your official permission slip to shake things up!' – Jennifer Hudson explains how frequent home shopping can make you happier

Jennifer Hudson in Home Goods.

In a recent study, HomeGoods has discovered that 85% of Americans want to make time for things that inspire joy. Given that only 26% of Americans are satisfied with their current routine, immediate action is needed. Jennifer Hudson is here to provide answers.

The iconic actress and singer is exploring how to be happier at home by partnering with HomeGoods on the Finding Time Off (FTO) movement.

Their campaign highlights the power of taking meaningful breaks. Namely, this comes in the form of breaking up your routine with mini shopping excursions to make your home more beautiful (even if you don't buy anything). No matter what, the act of getting out and about is good for most people.

Jennifer explains: 'I’m excited to partner with HomeGoods to encourage everyone to start Finding Time Off – whether it’s escaping to explore the aisles for hidden treasures or picking out the perfect mug. It’s all about carving out those small moments that spark joy and help you reconnect with yourself.' It goes beyond simply improving your wellbeing with your design choices to make the choices themselves a part of the joy.

For instance, about 62% of those surveyed cited 'treating themselves' and 'browsing for something they didn’t know they needed,' as a major reason to go shopping for their homes during a free moment. 77% agreed that a small, incremental change would make a positive impact on their daily routine.

Respondents agreed that dedicating more time to these pursuits made them feel more productive, energized, and optimistic.

Samantha Kussmann, Manager of Marketing, HomeGoods, further clarifies: 'At HomeGoods, we believe joy is often found in the little moments – like discovering the perfect candle, refreshing a cozy corner of your home, or stumbling upon something unexpected that makes you smile. That’s why we created this movement called Finding Time Off. We want to invite and inspire people to take a break from their busy lives and reconnect with the things that bring them joy.'

To celebrate, HomeGoods is hosting a giveaway on their Instagram, where fans can win a dream weekend getaway, a personalized room makeover, or a private shopping spree.
