Conor McGregor UFC news: Max Holloway leaves door open for rematch with Notorious

Max Holloway has left the door open for a rematch with Conor McGregor.

UFC featherweight champion Holloway is coming off an unanimous decision loss to Dustin Poirier in April.

The 27-year-old was bidding to become a two-weight world champion but is back at the drawing board with Poirier now taking on lightweight king Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Holloway fought McGregor all the way back in August 2013 with the Notorious winning by unanimous decision.

He told ESPN: "The Khabib fight is still there.

"I think the Khabib fight is still there. The fans still want the Khabib fight which is very interesting. The Irishman fight, if he ever figures it out, that fight is still there. There's a lot of interesting things to do. 155 [pound weight division] is not that far.

"In April I told you guys that I was going to come back to 145 no matter what happened. We're now and I want to come back to 145 in the summer and that's the plan. I ain't got nothing but time."

Meanwhile, McGregor and Rory McIlroy are the only Irish representatives in the latest celebrity rich list.

The Notorious came in at 65th of 100 celebrities - the only MMA fighter on the list - after pocketing an estimated €41.5m in the past year.

Holywood golf star McIlroy also made the shakeup in 92nd place after banking €34.4m in the same period.

McGregor, 30, only fought once in the past year, but his Las Vegas showdown with Khabib Nurmagomedov last October earned him €28.2m, according to the latest Forbes rankings.

The Crumlin man also made plenty of money outside the ring from various endorsements.

He has sponsorship deals with the likes of Reebok, Beats Electronics, Burger King, Monster Energy and Budweiser.

And his own whiskey brand Proper Twelve has reportedly sold over 200,000 cases to keep the money rolling in.

He finished ahead of famous names such as popstar Jennifer Lopez (76th), music mogul Simon Cowell (80th) and legendary rockers the Rolling Stones (83rd).

McIlroy, 30, meanwhile, has already won twice on the PGA Tour this season to see his career earnings approach €43m.

The 30-year-old lives in Jupiter, Florida and with sponsors like Omega, Nike and UnitedHealth Group - he banked €27m in endorsements in the past year without hitting a shot.

Top of the pile though is music sensation Taylor Swift, 29, who reportedly earned a whopping €164m in just twelve months' time.

She finished ahead of 21-year-old Kylie Jenner whose cosmetics empire, amongst other business interests, saw her bring €151m home.
