Conor McGregor fined €1,000 over assault in Dublin pub

Conor McGregor has been convicted of assault at a Dublin pub and handed a €1,000 fine.

The MMA fighter stood up in court and apologised to Judge Treasa Kelly and Desmond Keogh, the 50-year-old victim.

He said: “What I done was very wrong I would like to apologise to the injured party again and to the court.

“And assure you nothing of this nature will happen again regarding me.”

He was spared a jail sentence and was told he had one month to pay the fine.

His solicitor Michael Staines told Judge Kelly that his client has already paid Mr Keogh an undisclosed sum of money in compensation.
