The state’s new rulebook draws a hard line at 750 watts and sets up the familiar tiered system, with Class 1 being your standard pedal-assist up to 20 mph, Class 2 adding a throttle to that same speed, and Class 3 letting you pedal-assist your way to 28 mph (if you’re over 16, that is).
Simple enough.
But the real force of this law isn't in the helmet tickets; it's what happens when you get greedy with the settings.
